York Rd, Dorchester
York Rd is a short road connecting Culliford Rd north with Prince of Wales rd. This is the view east towards Culliford Road North. Formerly some very big Victorian houses were built here but some have been demolished over the years and been replaced with higher density housing.

Monmouth Road Rainbow
This is the very eastern end of Monmouth Rd east of the Junction with Culliford Road North. On the right can just be seen the entrance to the Bakers Arms Pub.

Bridge House Dorchester
This block of flats was built as part of the Brewery Square development but is completely separate from them. They are located next to the railway line where Culliford Rd crosses the Dorchester to Waterloo mainline railway just east of Dorchester South Station. Cranes can be seen working in the distance on the continuing development of Brewery Square.

Construction of Affordable Housing
This photo shows the construction starting on a block of affordable housing. It is at the very eastern end of the "Brewery Square" development site close to Dorchester South Station. However it has been squeezed onto a tiny patch of land between the railway lines and the eastern access road to the main site, which is not the nicest of locations. In the similar fashion to council houses of the 20th C the not so well off people are pushed to the margins. This only shows the base of the building. When it is finished it will be five storeys high and will dominate the immediate area that has no tall buildings.

Railway Bridge Dorchester, Dorset
This is on a small back road just east of Dorchester station. Originally the bridge was wider and carried an extra track but this has now been removed. The train is the 14.05 South West Trains service from Dorchester to Weymouth just pulling into Dorchester South Station
