Welcome to the Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) page which covers the main town shopping area, Brewery Square, Poundbury and all the encompassing residential areas. The team also cover the large surrounding rural and farming areas around our county town.
2021 was a challenging year for all and as we move into what we expect to be a bumper 2022 spring and summer season, your Neighbourhood Policing Team is being tasked to cover tourist & ASB hotspot locations to ensure that the residents and visitors to Dorset this year are able to enjoy our beautiful county.
The NPT work alongside partner agencies and the local community to ensure Dorchester remains a safe place to live, work and visit. Working in partnership means we can tackle the issues that most affect local people. Please see the Priorities section below for the priorities that we are currently working on.
We regularly update our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram - You can follow us using the links on the right hand side of this page). We also utilise Dorset Alert (See the foot of this page for details of how to sign up and see how we can keep you informed so you can help us keep your community safe).
