Old Council House, Council House Court, Shrewsbury
Many gabled, chimneyed and hoodmoulded, and possessing a complicated building history. The oldest parts are late C15th, there is C16th brickwork, an early C17th timber porch, and the left-hand section was added in 1815. Grade II* listed.
It has now been split into several residences. The name derives from the building's use by the Council in the Marches in the C16th.

Gatehouse to the Council House Courtyard
A rather fine construction, which dates back to the early 17th century, giving access to a slightly older house to the rear

All the buildings in the courtyard beyond are now in private ownership, despite the name of the area, which takes its name from the Council of the Welsh Marches which met in buildings on the site in the 1500s.
