Reverse view
Seen from alongside the Devizes White Horse is this reverse view of Image
The camera for Image was located exactly where the white van is in the middle of the image. Hopton Industrial Estate is seen behind. The mist has lingered near Etchilhampton Hill in the distance.

Communications, Roundway
Notice board, postbox and K2 type telephone box make up the communications available in Roundway.
In 1935, the Post Office commissioned a new kiosk from Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to celebrate the Jubilee of King George V. The K6 Jubilee Kiosk, as it is known, was similar to the K2 box, being made of cast iron and painted red but was 25% lighter in weight. By the end of the 1930s there were 20,000 K6 telephone boxes in use all over the UK.

2012 : North east Devizes from Roundway Hill
Looking along the Vale of Pewsey, the predominant crops here are oilseed rape and wheat with some barley.
A bit of Devizes stretches across the frame, and that pylon at the bottom that looks as if it is leaning to the left is not (I've checked).

2012 : Roundway Farm from Roundway Hill
With Roundway Hill Farm behind, beyond that the north eastern edge of Devizes spreads itself along the A361. And even beyonder, near the skyline, the north western escarpment of Salisbury Plain appears.
