Former Military Academy - SE18
This view of the rear of the redeveloped "West Cadets' Quarters" block show how the architects have added additional space to the ground floor accommodation by 'bolting on' these rectangular extension units. A utilities-related path can be seen sandwiched between the two wooden fences and in front of the fence nearest to the photographer is a driveway leading to the car park beneath a neighbouring apartment block. The front elevations of the "West Cadets' Quarters" face Well Hall Road (the A205) although there is a fair amount of open space between them and the perimeter railings.

Former Royal Military Academy - SE18
The upper floors of the rear of Kitchener House from a pedestrianised area that the developers have named 'Southern Edge'. Ahead are the rear elevations of some of the apartments in one of the converted blocks that are still known as "West Cadets' Quarters". Behind the "West Cadets' Quarters" are the perimeter railings and Academy Road (a.k.a. the A205 or South Circular Rd). The glass-fronted door on the right is the entrance/exit door into a lift for the use of individuals moving between this level and "Village Square" level. Village Square is where the former church is located, a building that is to become a community arts and culture space.

Former Military Academy - SE18
An archway constructed in the "West Officers' Quarters" block of this former military training establishment for cadet officers. This picture was taken looking over the construction company's security fence. When and how this particular block will be developed is unclear however, the plans for the overall site refer to a mixture of private and "affordable" (or social) housing. Behind the photographer and beyond the perimeter railings lies Academy Road (a.k.a. the South Circular Road or the A205)

Redevelopment of the former Military Academy buildings appears to be continuing, as evidenced by the blue plastic security fencing on the left. A security person's hut is also visible at the distant east gate, a gate that provides controlled access to this residential site from Red Lion Lane. The former Garrison Church (a.k.a. the academy chapel) of St Michael and All Angels (built 1902-04) - used by former officer cadets - is the red brick building on the right. Beyond the chapel is a block of apartments built in 2012 or 2013. .
