Manor View
Looking towards Squires lane and the bridge over the Northern Line from opposite Briarfield Avenue. The two mini roundabouts here, one at the junction with Lichfield Grove and the other at Station Road, have recently been removed.

Warning from the past
London & North Eastern Railway Signs, on either side of Squires Lane by the bridge over the Northern Line, warn of the consequences of trespassing on the railway. A relic from the days before electrification.

Old LNER sign on Squires Lane, Finchley
The LNER line here was taken over by the Underground in April 1940, this sign predates the Northern Line and probably by quite some years before. The private lines were then all nationalised in 1948, and have since been told LNER owned the line itself until nationalisation despite them handing it over to the Underground.

Departing Finchley Central
A southbound Northern Line train for Kennington via Charing Cross approaches the bridge at Squires Lane with car 51703 leading. In the distances is Finchley Central station with the Mill Hill East shuttle standing in platform 1 on the left and a Barnet bound service just departing platform 2.
