Depicted is the museum entrance, to the left of which is a restored seat from the former railway station in the village. The inscription reads: '1864 Sutton on Hull 1964'. The dates correspond to the opening and closing of the line to passenger traffic. The seat is painted in the livery of the Hull & Hornsea Railway Company, which operated from 1862 to 1866.
