Edith Avenue North
One of the original avenues laid out in 1920 when the town of Peacehaven was developed. The highway originally ran from Firle Road south to the A259 then beyond to the cliff tops. However, the section between Southview Road and Arundel Road was never built upon and by the 1960s was little more than a dirt track which eventually disappeared when first, Image was developed, and then the Meridian Centre was added in the late 1970s requiring the local council to add the 'North' suffix to avoid people getting lost.

Roderick Avenue
The longest of the north-south avenues in Peacehaven and the first to be made up. The straight road originally stretched from the cliff top to Valley Road and was later extended further to The Lookout and was the major access route to the north of the town. However, during the 1970s, the section between Arundel Road and Balcombe Road was largely removed to construct the Meridian Centre with the remnant turned into a delivery access road that was later renamed Roderick Way. Driving its entire length is also now impossible, there is no longer any access from the A259 whilst this section now ends at the junction with Glynn Road, a barrier prevents any further move southwards.

Horsham Avenue North
One of the original avenues laid out in 1920 when the town of Peacehaven was developed. The highway originally ran from Firle Road south to the A259 then beyond to the cliff tops. However, the section between Southview Road and Arundel Road was never built upon and had been truncated by the mid 1950s and the land between later used to build the Meridian Centre. For a while an attached garden centre used this route as an access road but has now been closed leaving just the fading lettering on the ground as a reminder.

Farmland next to Peacehaven
Once part of the old sheep down of Piddinghoe much of which has disappeared since the 1920s under the town of Peacehaven. One wonders how long it will be before this last remaining part piece of farmland follows.

Roderick Avenue, Peacehaven
Once the main route to the north of Peacehaven the road is now chopped into three different parts. This is peculiar to Peacehaven where roads with the same name often end in one place and start up again about half a mile further on. Access was made even more complicated in the 1960s when some avenues had their access blocked to the main A259. From the 1980s onward development was increased often filling in the gaps resulting in new roads and older ones chopped into further parts. Roderick Avenue is a case in point it begins at the clifftop but no longer has access from the A259 going north. It ends south of the Meridian centre which was partially built over its old route before starting up again as Sutton Avenue veers to the east to join with it. Access is blocked again as the main route turns east then starts up again at the crossroads with Glynn Road. It travels beyond the photographer and stops when it reaches The Lookout at the top of Peacehaven.

Pelham Rise
The road was constructed in the late 1970s to serve as an access route for the new estates and closes springing up as the northern part of Peacehaven from Firle Road to Telscombe Road had many of its vacant plots filled. The road heads east from Roderick Avenue before turning north towards Telscombe Road. This looks southwards past the junction with Glynn Road and the entrance to the business units next to Lower Hoddern Farm.

Gallows Hill (1)
The name of the field according to Piddinghoe's 1843 tithe map. This is the southern end south of Image, the northern end running south of Lodge Hill. The estates of northern Peacehaven can be seen at the opposite end of the field.
