Pokesdown: footpath G10 to Deans Road
A gravel driveway between two shops on the main Seabourne Road, leading to Deans Road which runs parallel beyond. As well as providing rear access to shops and the flats above, it is a public footpath. See Image] for the next view along the path, with links to another path which leads off it halfway along.

Pokesdown: Laurel and Hardy Cottages
These two houses are midway along a driveway which forms public footpath G10 between Seabourne Road (behind us) and Deans Road (ahead). Hardy Cottage is nearer us and Laurel Cottage beyond. The lane has been named Parkwood Lane in fairly recent years, presumably as a result of the cottages needing a postal address: they are both numbered 11 Parkwood Lane and they are the only two addresses on the lane. To the left, opposite the cottages, is another driveway and public footpath, forming a T-shaped rear driveway with the one we're on. See: Image for the view from the end of the path behind us; Image for the view towards us from the far end; and Image for the view along the lane to the left.

Pokesdown: footpath G11 to Hosker Road
Looking along this short public footpath from its junction with another one - the two footpaths use rear access driveways of shops and flats to provide a T-shaped cut-through (see Image). See Image for a view towards us from the other end.

Southbourne: the Malt & Hops
A pub which, apparently, ceased trading a few days ago. Certainly, it was closed now as I walked past it.

Southbourne, Brewhouse and Kitchen
Re-opened this year after several years of closure, formerly Image Internally, bar, front centre; drinking and eating areas left and right; microbrewery vessels visible back left, eating areas left and right back; terrace, background music. Decor could be described as post-industrial chic, with distressed woodwork, exposed electrical conduits and hacked-off plasterwork. Seven cask ales were on offer at my visit. http://www.brewhouseandkitchen.com/venue/southbourne/
