The Olde Peculiar in Handsacre, Staffordshire
This smart public house is locate on The Green at the junction with Hall Road. I have always wondered why, as it flaunts the Theakston's name, it has chosen not to adopt the idiosyncratic brewery spelling of the word "peculier". Recommended!

The Olde Peculiar in Handsacre, Staffordshire
By the A513 is The Olde Peculiar, a slightly upmarket friendly pub and restaurant, which also offers B and B accommodation. Recommended for real ale - they do sometimes serve the iconic Theakston's Old Peculier, but eschew its quirky spelling - haven't tried the meals yet. Reviews on the notorious Tripadvisor are very encouraging!
