Borehamwood: Haggerston Park and Tykes Water
Haggerston Park is the smallest of the three parks alongside Tykes Water and was purchased by the local council in 1952. The other parks are Brook Meadow and Leeming Park. The footpath through the park also forms a section of the 10½ mile or 17 kilometre long Timberland Trail. Tykes Water is the brook on the right.

Borehamwood: Tykes Water and Brook Meadow
Since I was last here in December 2005 Image the Environment Agency have established a water level monitoring sensor on Tykes Water, and the gaugeboard on the left is part of these arrangements. The top of the graduations is at 80.6 metres above sea level. The watercourse is also known as Borehamwood Brook. The photograph was taken looking across Brook Meadow on a damp misty April morning.

This is Tykes Water in Leeming Park viewed looking downstream towards the Aycliffe Road bridge with what appears to be a fine collection of water lilies about to bud. Tykes Water is also known as Borehamwood Brook here.
