Haggerston Park is the smallest of the three parks alongside Tykes Water and was purchased by the local council in 1952. The other parks are Brook Meadow and Leeming Park. The footpath through the park also forms a section of the 10½ mile or 17 kilometre long Timberland Trail. Tykes Water is the brook on the right.
