Hayes End Community Park
Originally Wood End Farm, the majority of the land making up what is now known as Hayes End Community Park (formerly Hayes End Recreation Ground) was sold to the London Borough of Hillingdon in 1929 by William Unwin. A large part of this initial freehold was bound by covenant and reserved for use as sports recreation or as a pleasure ground. Other areas making up the complete park were purchased at later dates.

Hillingdon Heath: West Drayton Road
The new route of West Drayton Road thankfully bypasses this narrow section, and is across to the right. The house on the right, behind the wall, is surprisingly old, circa 1700, while the visible coach
house and the boundary wall are themselves 18th and 19th century respectively and Grade II Listed.
A gully clearing tanker is in operation at the far end of the view.

Hillingdon Heath: Former Little London Nursery wall (1)
The wall around the former nursery site is Grade II Listed, and the English Heritage site describes it thus:-
"Ranges of red brick walls of C16 or early C17 appearance, although they are laid in Flemish bond. Very irregular bricks, some extremely narrow. In places a tall, sloped coping with further, straight-edged coping above."
The whole nursery site, the wall excepted, has been redeveloped for housing. This is the south side of the wall in Glasshouse Close.
