19 Eaton Constantine
The core of this cottage is thought to be early 17th century, and it was once used as a public house (The Plough Inn.) It has recently been rescued from a state of significant dereliction and restored to good condition, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101175600-19-leighton-and-eaton-constantine#.YOyfaOhKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1175600 in 1986, at which time it was unoccupied.

The Old Post Office, Eaton Constantine
We were just walking through the village, speculating on what a nice place it would be to live, when someone replied that "Aye, but there's no facilities - OK, there's a church, but no shop, no pub, no post office...", when this place appeared, and neatly confirmed the comment about the post office.

Baxter's House, Eaton Constantine
The whole house is not easily seen from this direction, but this former farmhouse is a modified late 15th century timber framed building of considerable character and substance, which attracted a Grade II* listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101055263-baxters-house-leighton-and-eaton-constantine#.YOyhAehKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1055263 in 1986. There are many original interior features still intact, including massive spine and cross beams and a substantial inglenook fireplace, and traces in the architecture of many other features that have been altered over the years. The oldest part is nearest the camera, being a 3-bay hall range with attic, and the larger cross wing beyond was added in the 17th century. Its name reflects the fact that the house was the home in the 1620s of the young Richard Baxter, the early 17th century Puritan theologian. There is also a Image in Bridgnorth, where he lived in the early 1640s.

Wayside house, Eaton Constantine
It's not easy to tell from the exterior view, but the heart of this cottage is a 15th or 16th century open hall house, built with a true cruck-framed construction, albeit later altered and extended. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101055262-wayside-leighton-and-eaton-constantine#.YO39j-hKjI.U & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1055262 in 1986
