The core of this cottage is thought to be early 17th century, and it was once used as a public house (The Plough Inn.) It has recently been rescued from a state of significant dereliction and restored to good condition, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101175600-19-leighton-and-eaton-constantine#.YOyfaOhKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1175600 in 1986, at which time it was unoccupied.
