This access way for shops on Streatham High Road is within the Streatham Common Conservation Area. Lambeth Council's idea was that it would enable greater control over any future proposals to develop the site.

426-450 Streatham High Road
The rhythm set further up the High Road (here for example: Image]) is taken up again by this little group running south from the junction with Greyhound Lane, before vanishing completely on the way to Norbury. Built in 1890 with the usual tall, narrow frontages with shaped gables and fancy brickwork, albeit of a slightly lower quality than elsewhere on the High Road. A cast iron and glass canopy originally extended the length of the parade. It is within the Streatham Common Conservation Area. The curved building on the end used to be a bank and is now a bar.

Immanuel church, Streatham High Road
Rebuilt and enlarged in 1864-65 by Benjamin Ferrey. Only the tower of Kentish ragstone remains after most of the church was demolished in the 1980s. It is within the Streatham Common Conservation Area. Ferrey (1810-80) studied with A.W.N. Pugin and established a large practice mostly concerned with churches in his favoured Gothic style.
