Old Milestone by the A205, Upper Richmond Road, Roehampton
Carved stone post by the A205, in parish of RICHMOND UPON THAMES (RICHMOND UPON THAMES District), Upper Richmond Road, Roehampton, in pavement by junction and pedestrian lights. It was by the wall of the Red Rover Inn (now gone) with glass panel so the rear face of the stone was visible from gardens, on North side of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Surrey & Sussex turnpike trust in the 18th century.

The Olympic road race at Rosslyn Park
Dozens of motorcycle outriders had passed in the previous few minutes, there are helicopters overhead, and here come the riders - about 17 minutes into the race - heading west along the Upper Richmond Road. On the left, Barnes Common, to the right Rosslyn Park rugby ground.
It's Saturday morning, and this is the men's event - the women's race is scheduled to pass here in 26 hours' time.
