At Little Stoke on Uttoxeter Road.
The identification plate reads "SOT28M139" which probably means it is 28 miles from Stoke on Trent.

Aston by Stone Level Crossing
New Year's Day and there is very little traffic about. The level crossing is used by trains between London and Manchester on the line between Colwich and Stone, avoiding Stafford.

Opened in 1901 by the North Staffordshire Railway on the line from Stoke-on-Trent via Colwich to Rugby, this station close in 1947. View south east from Uttoxeter Road level crossing.

Aston-by-Stone station remains and level-crossing on B5027, 1990
View across the ex-NSR Stoke-on-Trent - Stone (to left) - Colwich (to right) main line, which connects with the WCML at Colwich and was electrified in 1966. The station was closed long ago: passengers 6/1/47, goods 13/8/62.
