Stone Town Neighbourhood
Stone town centre offers shops, restaurants, pubs and bars, which contribute to a thriving night-time economy. There are regular farmers' markets and an annual food and drink festival. Recent housing developments have led to a sharp increase in Stone's population.
A regeneration project, championed by the Market Towns Initiative, has led to a new amphitheatre, redesigned sports centre, improved canal side walkways, football for all ages with Stone Dominoes and a youth café. Local police also cover the Stonefields, Oulton Cross, Walton, Whitebridge, Little Stoke and Cherryfields residential areas.
