Way finding board, Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018
One of numerous way finding boards around the venues hosting events as part of the festival around Sunderland's hosting of the start of the Tall Ships Races 2018. This sign was located in Zone B which consists of exhibition stands and a stage on and around Sunderland's Town Moor. Event Zone A, which is signposted on the board was where the majority of the ships were moored, the city's port.

Park and Ride buses, The Quadrant, Sunderland
Several double decker buses are parked up on The Quadrant between trips to and from the car parks for visitors to the start of the Tall Ships Races 2018. Go North East operated services to and from 5 park and ride sites spread around the city over the course of the 4 days of the event.

Entertainment, Town Moor Stage, Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018
As part of the event put on around the hosting of the start of the 2018 Tall Ships Races a temporary stage was erected on Town Moor, an area of grass between the city centre and the port. A range of different acts provided entertainment across the 4 days of the event, here an act incorporating Bollywood style music and dancing is playing to a small crowd of onlookers.

Trafalgar Square
These Alms Houses were built in the 1840s as accommodation for retired merchant seamen. They are named after Lord Nelson’s famous victory in 1805. they are Grade II-listed as a group (English heritage List Entry Number: 1207071 http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=1207071&resourceID=5 Heritage Gateway). The forecourt wall and the lamp standard in the centre of the square are separately listed, also at grade II http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results.aspx .

Stage, Sunderland Town Moor
As part of the events put on around the hosting of the start of the 2018 Tall Ships Races a stage was erected on Sunderland's Town Moor. Across the 4 days of the event a variety of acts were scheduled to perform. Here a group performing Bollywood style music and dance have drawn a small crowd on a sunny and warm early evening.
