Entrance to Stagenhoe, St Paul's Walden
The house is now a Sue Ryder Care Home. It is a listed building, built in the 18C with 19C and later extensions. The public footpath goes along the edge of the field to the right. (See http://www.prestonherts.co.uk/page170.html )

Driveway to Stagenhoe, St Paul's Walden
This view is looking away from the entrance to Stagenhoe, where the public footpath to the village leaves the edge of the field and joins the driveway for a while before turning right to pass the Dower House, which is the red-brick building. This was built in the mid-19C as a pair of gardener's houses, and is listed, Grade II.

Referred to in the list of Listed Buildings as "Pair of gardeners houses, now one house. Mid C19. Red brick with black brick diapering and patterns, castellated Neo-Tudor style with stucco dressings".

Stagenhoe Park at St Paul's Walden
The house is approached by a private road. I believe it was once a nursing home but there are no signs to this effect.
