Hannah Treadwell (Ch/Insp)

A police officer for almost 20 years, I started life in the job as a PC in Stevenage.  Then worked within a variety of specialist roles including Workforce Development, Domestic Abuse and Children’s Safeguarding. Following promotion to Sergeant, I was posted to Stevenage as the Intelligence Detective Sergeant, before then working at both North Herts and Stevenage as an Intervention Sergeant and Detective Sergeant. Following further promotion I then undertook roles as the North Herts & Stevenage Intervention Inspector, Workforce Development Inspector and Crime Development Detective Inspector.  I join North Herts having enjoyed the last two years working as a Chief Inspector within Digital Innovation and a Detective Chief Inspector in Safeguarding.

I am Inspector 1143 James LANT. I’ve served Hertfordshire Constabulary as a police officer for more than 23 years and have worked in a variety of operational and strategic roles around the Constabulary over that time. I am proud to lead the North Herts Safer Neighbourhood Team and have responsibility for partnership problem-solving in Hitchin Urban & Rural, Letchworth & Baldock and Royston Urban & Rural districts.

Once again, the most recent Priority Setting Forum has identified speeding through the villages in the Hitchin Rural area as a concern. Our focus will remain on tackling this issue over the coming months.

The issue of speeding remains a concern for local communities and following the most recent Hitchin Rural PSF process this will remain a priority for your local Neighbourhood Policing Team over the coming months. Please continue to let us know locations that are of concern so that we can focus our resources most effectively to address this issue.

The most recent Priority Setting Forum in October 2023 highlighted that Fly-Tipping remains a concern throughout the Hitchin Rural area. As a result, this will remain a priority for your local team over the coming months.

We will continue to focus on the issue of Fly-Tipping as a local priority over the coming months as it was highlighted as an on-going concern for local communities during the most recent Priority Setting Forum process. We will continue to work with partners to address the issue. Please continue to report any incidents of Fly-Tipping or suspicious incidents to Police.

Anti Social Behaviour (ASB)
The issue of ASB related to drug usage was highlighted at Hitchin Rural Public Consultation meeting in October 2023. Concerns were raised around this type of behaviour in and around open spaces across the district. The local SNT will now focus on this issue over the coming months.

Following public consultation as part of the October Hitchin Rural PSF process, the issue of ASB related to drug usage in open spaces remains a concern for local communities. Therefore, we will continue to address this issue and it will remain a priority for your local Neighbourhood Policing Team over the coming months.
