Brockley Cross SE4
Lots of roads converge here, and they funnel into a double mini roundabout. This is looking North, up Shardeloes Road, toward New Cross. The tall buildings on the horizon are Canary Wharf.

Public convenience at Brockley Cross SE4
This modernised unisex facility is in the wall - indeed, is the wall - at Brockley station. As a limited concession to privacy, the architects (unknown) have retained separate "Gentlemen" and "Ladies" sections. It is hoped that this may become a resource for the development of local artistic/gymnastic talents, possibly as a demonstration event at the 2012 Olympics. That would however necessitate something on a grander scale, which may not be supportable by the area's drinking and transport infrastructure.
A site visitor adds: "Demolished March 2007!"

Brockley Station
A Southern Class 455, 455815, arrives with a service for Victoria. Originally delivered to British Railways between 1982 and 1984, these units have been modified over the years. Most obviously, the gangway door on the end of these units was plated over by Southern and an air-conditioning unit fitted in its place. Other work included the installation of digital displays and more comfortable seating.

Brockley Station
Looking north at Brockley Station we see a profusion of overbridges. Nearest to the camera and painted green and white is a public footbridge, which can be used by anyone, as it is wholly outside the station barriers. Then comes the white-painted station bridge which is within the barriers, so use of this bridge is restricted to persons in possession of a railway ticket or pass. Next after this, with only its black-painted lower edge visible, is a bridge carrying the ex-LCD railway line, now between Nunhead and Lewisham. There was at one time a station, called Brockley Lane, on this line somewhat to the east, but it closed many years ago. After this is a road bridge a rusty red-brown with graffiti. A considerable distance beyond is another road bridge painted pale green. It carries Vista Road, but no motor traffic is allowed over it.
