Hill Primary School, Blairgowrie
Located in Upper Allan Street, the school was opened by Mr Alan Macpherson, chairman of the school board, on 19th August, 1879. It was built, at a cost of £6000, on glebe land belonging to the established church. The school was enlarged in 1909, but closed in 2009 when a new school campus opened. The building is Category B listed and stands within a conservation area. It is currently for sale, but any development of the site is unlikely to see any substantial demolition of the existing buildings.

St Andrew's Church from Burnhead Road
When the photograph was taken, this was St Andrew's Church. Now that St Mary's-South Church has closed, St Andrew's is the only Church of Scotland church in Blairgowrie and hence is the parish church. The field in the foreground is at the top of Newton Street and, before climate change, was much in use in snowy weather as a sledging field, due to its slope. It will probably soon be built over, as are most green spaces in the town.

The school closed in 2009 and the site is currently for sale, though being Category B listed, and standing within a conservation area, substantial demolition of the existing buildings is unlikely.
