These units are on the McKay Trading Estate; the view is from Station Approach: a comfortable rail replacement bus was taking us back to Leamington Spa due to track repairs (midweek!) near Banbury.

Situated in London Road OX26 6BY, this depot formerly housed buses operated by City of Oxford Motor Services Ltd. It is now an accident repair centre.

This former bus depot in London Road is now a crash repair centre. Stagecoach bus routes 26, 29, H5 and S5 that now operate in Bicester, have their vehicles based in Murdock Road OX26 4PP (SP5923 refers).

Bicester Level Crossing
Chiltern Railways dmu No. 168328 heads towards London after stopping at Bicester Village Station. These services run regularly between Oxford and London Marylebone via the New Bicester Chord line, opened in 2015. This is the only level crossing on the route, as all others have been replaced with bridges.

Bicester Town railway station (site), Oxfordshire, 2009
Opened in 1850 on what became the London & North Western Railway's Oxford to Cambridge line via Bedford, this 2-platform station closed in 1968. Between 1954 and 1968 it was known as "Bicester London Road" station. The station was reopened as a single platform by British Rail in 1987 as "Bicester Town". View north east towards Launton and Bedford, although passenger trains went no further than here at the time this image was taken. The station was subsequently demolished as part of the rebuilding of the line in 2014 (see Image) and was replaced by "Bicester Village" station immediately behind the camera position (see Image).

Bicester Village railway station, Oxfordshire
Opened in 1850 on what became the London & North Western Railway's Oxford to Cambridge line via Bedford, this station closed in 1968. Between 1954 and 1968 it was known as "Bicester London Road" station. The station was reopened as a single platform by British Rail in 1987 as "Bicester Town" only to be completely demolished as part of the rebuilding of the line in 2014, reopening in October 2015 as "Bicester Village" station. The current station is about 70m further away from the camera position than its predecessors. View south west towards Islip and Oxford.

Bicester Village Station
Bicester Village station on the day after it opened to Chiltern Railways services. The previous station known as either Bicester Town or before that Bicester London Road had been demolished to make way for this new station. A new car park has also been built. Trains running between Oxford Parkway and London Marylebone stop here, this being an alternative rail route between these two cities. This station serves Bicester Village Outlet Shopping as well as the local community. From March 2016, trains will go to the centre of Oxford. In the longer term this route will form part of East West Rail. More details here http://www.eastwestrail.org.uk

Bicester Village Station
An Oxford Parkway bound train is stopped at Bicester Village station while a London Marylebone bound train approaches on the second day of operation after the station opened under its new name. The first steps in re-laying this as a dual track line occurred in April 2014. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3940304 This station serves Bicester Village Outlet Shopping as well as the local community.
