Opened in 1850 on what became the London & North Western Railway's Oxford to Cambridge line via Bedford, this station closed in 1968. Between 1954 and 1968 it was known as "Bicester London Road" station. The station was reopened as a single platform by British Rail in 1987 as "Bicester Town" only to be completely demolished as part of the rebuilding of the line in 2014, reopening in October 2015 as "Bicester Village" station. The current station is about 70m further away from the camera position than its predecessors. View south west towards Islip and Oxford.
