Edgehill Village Street
The road through Edgehill village is right on the crest of the hill. The steep slope down into the valley below the scarp starts more or less at the remains of the white line down the middle.
In the background is Edgehill's landmark Castle Inn, built as a folly in the 18th century, and later wisely turned into a pub.

The Castle Inn, Edge Hill
In contrast to the more usual thatched, 'villagy' pub of the Hook Norton Brewery estate. The beer is just as excellent though!

The Castle Inn & Gatehouse, Edgehill
This rather splendid castellated pub dates from 1746/47 and was originally built as a sham castle known as Edgehill Tower. It is now the Castle Inn which serves very pleasant ale and food. Their website here https://castleatedgehill.co.uk/
The pub is now linked by a first floor bridge to its little gatehouse, to the right.
The pub in the village of Edgehill is atop the escarpment which leads down to the site of the famous, eponymous battle.
The two buildings are separately listed by English Heritage, both as Grade II*
