This obelisk, representing Earth in the Ratley Element Trail, is the most ambitious piece in the local sculpture trail. To mark the Millennium it was constructed by the first female apprentice stonemason in the history of Hornton Quarry. The inscription around the top has on one face the letters MM, the year 2000 in Roman numerals. The other three faces bear the names of the villages in the parish: Ratley, Edgehill and Upton. The other pieces in the Element Trail are in Ratley, SP3847.
