The M1 northbound, Colindale
There are few places pedestrians can get this close to take photos of a motorway. The complex set of staircases allows unbroken views across both the M1 and the railway lines running alongside.

The M1 southbound, Colindale
Originally the M1 ended in Mill Hill but this stretch was added to link with the North Circular Road a mile or so beyond.

The M1 northbound, Colindale
I can also see the three towers from my house. Looking towards Colindeep Lane, the other name for Colindale. Colindale was also the name for the local telephone exchange before it became 205 in 1967. It was also our phone number until 1965.
