Viv Anderson leaving Hucknall
Nottingham's trams are named after prominent Nottinghamians. This one is carries the name of Viv Anderson MBE, the Nottingham Forest full back who was the first black man to be capped by England and also a European Cup winner with the Reds.

Wigwam Lane
This odd name derives from a Mr. Hankin who after spending some years in America became a Byron tenant. He called his house the Wigwam, and this was the approach. The name dates from the mid 18th century.

County and Forest trams at Hucknall
NET trams are named after Nottingham heroes past and present, from all walks of life. The one on the left carries the names of Jimmy Sirrel and Jack Wheeler, manager and trainer of the most successful Notts County sides in living memory, the one on the right that of the Nottingham Forest full back Viv Anderson MBE, the first black man to play for England. Hucknall is the northern terminus of the Nottingham tram system.
