Keep Calm And Carry On
This World War II MOD sign which was never used at the time has been resurrected recently and is a popular poster for decorating student digs, etc. I'm not sure where the sticky back plastic version came from though - used here on a street cabinet.

Manor Park Stores
Long since closed, though still in residential use, this shop was clearly not called Manor Park Stores originally - it would probably have had the owners name above the door. A victim of the supermarkets and the number of other small shops in the local area, the frontage is a memory of a bygone era with its pre-plate glass windows with glazed adverts for tea.

Bishop Douglass School
A large Roman Catholic school located on Hamilton Road. Contrasting styles of building make up the main block. Plenty of parking for teachers too!

Part of the Thomas More estate seen here from the junction with Hamilton Road. The usual 'residents parking only' and 'no ball games' signs are on display.

Spark Off-Licence
Looking suspiciously similar to a well known convenience store, this off-licence is located on the corner of Brackenbury Road and East End Road. The traffic lights are at the junction of East End Road and Ossulton Way.

Showroom and Houses
Located on East End Road between Brackenbury Road, on the right, and Hamilton Road. The house on the corner has clearly once been a shop and has been returned to housing. The blue building in the centre is a carpet showroom.

Manor Park Road
View along the terraced houses of Manor Park Road looking towards Holy Trinity Church on Church Lane. The centre section of this road has been pedestrianised - although the removable bollards preventing access to motorists have disappeared.
