Old Style Telephone Pole
Located on Norrice Lea, this pole retains its ceramic terminations for the wires going to the customers houses and the finial at the top. The pole was erected by the GPO not long after 1955, which is its requisition date.

Holne Chase and Rowan Walk
The road in the foreground is Holne Chase, it bends round to the left at this point. The houses on the loop beside the island are on Rowan Walk. Rowan walk itself is visible between the trees, left of centre, with its junction with Holne Chase on the extreme left.

Because of the regulations these houses are as original, although I can't understand why anyone would want to change them anyway but everywhere else they do.
