Double Up at Home Time
VP491 overtakes a cyclist along East End Road as it passes the stops for Trinity Avenue. The 143 route is normally single deck operation but a double decker has been sent out to handle the extra load generated by children from the Bishop Douglass and Christ College schools - you can see several of them sitting against the upstairs front window. There is a 643 double deck route that normally operates at this time specifically for the school run and I wonder if the driver has accidentally set the wrong number in the display?

The Five Bells
A popular public house on East End Road. A couple of the patrons clearly decided to leave their cars overnight. The conservatory is a relatively recent addition to a pub that otherwise seems very traditional.

Holy Trinity - East Finchley
Bathed in early morning spring sunshine, the church is framed by Ivy covered gravestones. This is the south aisle, added in 1883.

Holy Trinity Church
The font, originally located at the rear of the church, was donated in remembrance of Mrs. Golden. The interior of the church was extensively rebuilt in the 1980's and the font stands where the memorial chapel to the dead of WWI was located. The memorial chapel altar was removed at that time and all that now remains is the wooden plaque on the wall.

Holy Trinity Church
One of the stained glass windows in the north aisle. It was built in remembrance of a member of the Lermitte family who donated the funds for the aisle's construction in 1866.
