Stamford Hill : former New Synagogue
Grade II listed built in 1914-1915 to designs by architects E M Joseph and partner Smithem, the interior copying the apse and galleries of John Davies's New Synagogue, Bishopsgate, of 1838 and incorporating some original fittings from the earlier building. In 1987, the synagogue building was sold to the Bobov Chasidic Community (and is used as Chasidey Bobov D'Ohel Naphtali and Yeshiva Bnei Zion Beth Hemedrash).

Closed Bus Garage, Stamford Hill (3)
This former bus garage in Rookwood Road operated about 66 trolleybuses on routes 543/643, 647, 649/649A and 683 between February 1939 and July 1961. Motorbuses then took over operating on routes 67, 149, 243/243A, 253 and N83. During the 1960s, the motorbuses operated were Routemasters, and the rear-engined Atlanteans and Fleetlines. Closure of this garage took place in November 2020 and its future is uncertain, although it may be demolished for housing.

Closed Bus Garage, Stamford Hill (4)
This bus garage in Rookwood Road, has had a chequered history in recent years operating motorbuses having closed in 1995, reopened in 1996, closed again in 2000 then finally reopened in July 2002. It then closed on Friday 6th November 2020 having operated over 90 buses on routes 67, 73, 253, N73 and N253. The routes and buses were then transferred to Clapton Garage

Image for route 67. In front of the garage is the bus stop for route 318 which starts from that stop then goes to North Middlesex Hospital via Seven Sisters and Tottenham. Also, London plane trees can be seen in this photo, they being a common sight on London's streets as they can cope with air pollution.
