Stamford Hill : former New Synagogue

Grade II listed built in 1914-1915 to designs by architects E M Joseph and partner Smithem, the interior copying the apse and galleries of John Davies's New Synagogue, Bishopsgate, of 1838 and incorporating some original fittings from the earlier building. In 1987, the synagogue building was sold to the Bobov Chasidic Community (and is used as Chasidey Bobov D'Ohel Naphtali and Yeshiva Bnei Zion Beth Hemedrash).
