Kingsland Green Telephone Exchange (2)
This photo shows the TE in Kingsland Green E8 2LA, behind a group of plane trees which are a common sight in London's streets. To the right of the photo can be seen a jib on the roof below which there are a pair of doors where TE equipment is hoisted through them. A BT Openreach van can be seen in front of the TE, whilst a No Through Road sign is fixed on a lamp standard to the left of the photo.

Balls Pond Road at the junction of Kingsland Road
I don't know how people needing to get to the City from here manage as the first right turn with a major road is far to the east in Mare Street.

The Totally Bona Fantabulosa A104 Balls Pond Road
For four years 1964-68 the writers Barry Took and Marty Feldman produced some of the greatest Radio Comedy ever in the form of Round The Horne. One of the segments of the show was often “Radio Balls Pond Road” where the double entendres flowed freely. In fact most people's Honi Soit had never been so Mal Y Pensed! Its fame was “crowed from John O’Groats near the town of Wick to the horse meat shop in the Balls Pond Road”, of which there is no sign today. The Over Eighties Nudist Leapfrog Team are also absent from this shot of the Balls Pond Road looking eastward near the A10. However you get two Routemasters as a bonus, feast your eyes on them while you can; they will soon be gone forever.

Hoarding with an unauthorised addition (1)
This hoarding is at Dalston Lane, and behind it is the site for the new Dalston Junction Station. The poster has been "adapted" by persons unknown, and they have added many "comments" that make clear their opposition to local development plans. Whether you agree with their sentiments and methods or not, it is clear that this area will change enormously with the extension of the new East London Line and the associated redevelopment. Here is a close up view. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/396989

Some of the "amendments" will be difficult to read at this size, but some can easily be made out.
