Grove Road
Seen from the junction with Woodhouse Road. The road parallels the A1000 and is often used as a cut through for drivers avoiding traffic on the High Road. The massed ranks of terraced houses are bathed in bright winter sunshine. The white block on the horizon is Barnet House, home to Barnet Council offices.

Grove Road N12
Contrasting houses on Grove Road. The nearest is a modern bungalow whilst its ornate neighbour, built in 1862, resembles a railway station building with all its finials. The nearby Woodside Park station uses much the same style of straw coloured bricks, as do many of the older housing developments in the area.

Parade of Shops, Woodhouse Road
Set back from the road with flats above, a variety of different types of shop make up the parade which includes Shorter Rochford Cycles - a well known supplier of bicycles who still make frames to measure for their customers. In the centre, the owner of a grocery/newsagents shop enjoys a quiet cigarette in the winter sunshine. On the horizon is the Arts Depot development at the junction with the High Road.
