Opposite Upway, off Summers Lane, and leading to Legion Way, which is a cul-de-sac. The road name, Downway, is not displayed although it does appear on some maps - other maps show this as Summers Lane. The houses are numbered as being on Summers Lane, though the road signs disagree about which house numbers are involved. The blocks of flats in the distance are in Prospect Ring and Park Road, East Finchley.

Council Housing - probably all now private houses - on Summers Lane. The roundabout is located on the junction with the road to the civic amenity and recycling centre. It looks like there is a handy neighbour if your car won't start.

Wreck of a mountain bike left on the road. It will no doubt make its way to the recycling centre, the gates of which are visible at the end of the road.

The local rubbish dump is the only one in Barnet borough since they closed the other one near Brent Cross. Being at the eastern end of the borough means people on the other side now have some way to travel to get there.

Not so much 'spot the ball', but 'miss the ball'. The game is between Wingate and Fisher Athletic FC. The away side in yellow won 2.0.

A London Ambulance Service Mercedes-Benz Sprinter makes its way gingerly between parked cars and a paramedic vehicle into the Abrahams Stadium. It was attending for a Cray Wanderers player who was suffering from concussion and was the second ambulance to attend the same emergency. The first, out of shot beside the changing rooms, was diagnosed as having a slow puncture to the rear tyre and was therefore unfit to carry the patient to hospital. The second ambulance initially turned into the adjacent Finchley Rugby Club and the paramedic, seen walking in front, was dispatched to collect it and bring it round to the Wingate & Finchley side.

The referee and his assistants lead the teams out of the tunnel for the Wingate & Finchley v Cheshunt match. The unusual colour of the ball was a Ryman League initiative for Red Nose Day and collection buckets were available at the ground.

Managers and coaches stand in their respective technical areas beside the touchline at Wingate and Finchley football club. The substitutes sit in their respective home and away dugouts, or keep warmed up by trotting up and down the touchline.
