The Cradock Arms, Knighton, Leicester
Dating from the 17th century, and originally named The Bull. Renamed in 1855 after Sir Edmond Craddock-Hartopp, who owned Knighton Hall and much of the parish. For the origin of the name Craddock, and why a 'd' is missing from the pub's name, see its attached notice board. Then go inside and enjoy a pint of their excellent 'Elsie Mo'.

Stairs to nowhere, College Court conference centre
The conversion of these 1960-built halls of residence into a conference centre won several architectural awards. Some features of the previous structure have been retained for effect, such as this exterior staircase.
