45 Chatham Street, Leicester
This has the essentially functional appearance of a warehouse or factory, perhaps mid-C19th. It is, however, quite well proportioned and has some architectural treatment of the windows and a heavy bracketed eaves. At the time it was known as Pittaway House, offering both "superior student accommodation" and "luxury loft-style apartments", an odd combination. Still, it makes a change from all those places marketing inferior accommodation.

The former Black Boy public house
This now closed public house is on the corner of Albion Street and Chatham Street, it closed in 2012. It is planned to be converted into student accommodation. The name referred to the young Charles II who, because of his swarthy complexion, was known as 'the black boy'.

Granby Street on Sunday
There are only 3 hours during the day, where one cannot purchase food along Granby Street, and if you're unfortunate enough to be caught out, the noise of the Street Sweepers will keep you awake!
