North of here the trackbed is overgrown. The Dava Way is signposted through residential streets to the centre of Forres.

End of the line
Although most of the old railway line from Grantown to Forres is used by the Dava Way footpath, here, the last bridge before Forres, the old track is overgrown. After this it is very difficult to see where the track went onwards to Forres station.

Sanquhar Burial Ground
The resting place of whisky mogul Alexander Edward, his wife Cicely and assorted dogs. At one time in the grounds of Sanquhar House before it was demolished post 1959. The burial ground now stands on a wooded hill surrounded by a 1980s housing estate.
