Sanquhar Burial Ground

The resting place of whisky mogul Alexander Edward, his wife Cicely and assorted dogs. At one time in the grounds of Sanquhar House before it was demolished post 1959. The burial ground now stands on a wooded hill surrounded by a 1980s housing estate.
