Wigmore houses [13]
Castle Cottage in Castle Street was formerly two dwellings and a cobblers shop - now all one house. Built in the 17th century with mid 19th and mid 20th century alterations. Timber framed with brick and rendered infill, all under a slate roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1349894
The village of Wigmore is set astride the A4110 road some 8 miles west of Ludlow in the northwest part of Herefordshire. An Anglo-Saxon village which, after the building of the castle, became a small but thriving market town. Wigmore declined when the castle owners moved their administrative centre to Ludlow and reverted to village status.

St. James' Church (Cross | Wigmore)
This cross is right outside the church, and is possibly a memorial to something that happened long ago. Not to the world war though, as this exists inside the church already: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5685716v

St. James' Church (Wigmore)
Here is the grade I listed parish church of St. James, which was established in the late 11th century. This was partly rebuilt and extended in the 14th century and was restored by G Bodley in 1864. This was originally going to have a major refurbishment in the interior in 2019 although that never happened.
