Westgate House, Huddersfield
This prefabricated shop dates from 1923. The frontage has a steel frame, bronze cladding and plenty of glass. In the 1920s, this would have been ultra-modern, and it remains an intriguing and attractive building today. It is currently occupied by the shop Bronx, which sells designer clothes for men.

The entrance to Lloyds TSB, No. 1 Westgate, Huddersfield
This was built in 1912 for the West Yorkshire Bank, replacing a Georgian building. The entrance is in a curve around the corner, and is very grand, although not push-chair-friendly. The four carved figures up above, and two different sorts of crown, were carved in-situ.

The arcade was built c.1880 to the designs of local architect William Crossland who also designed the nearby Kirkgate Buildings, among others. It is listed grade II (list entry 1224912).
Like several of the other Kirklees snowdogs, this one ('Kirk' by Boy Oh Boy Designs) was inside a building and therefore not accessible outside normal shopping hours.
