The Oakmere across its park
The fine house seen here once had these lakes and gardens as its private garden. These days the parkland is owned by the council for the use of the public http://www.hertsmere.gov.uk/Parks--Leisure/Parks--Open-Spaces/Park-Facilities/Potters-Bar/Oakmere-Park.aspx - while the house has become a Harvester pub and restaurant.

Oakmere House, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Oakmere House was at one time owned by the Council and was used for meetings, functions, etc. It was sold when the Williots Centre was constructed as a new venue for shows, functions, etc.
The building was refurbished and was originally a Beefeater Restaurant, then an Out-and-Out Restaurant. It is currently a Harvester Restaurant.
