Oakmere House was at one time owned by the Council and was used for meetings, functions, etc. It was sold when the Williots Centre was constructed as a new venue for shows, functions, etc. The building was refurbished and was originally a Beefeater Restaurant, then an Out-and-Out Restaurant. It is currently a Harvester Restaurant.
