Former pub near Enfield

There Goes Lunch....
Or so I thought. One of the nice things about walking the London Loop path is that there are plenty of places for a mid day pint, but not here. The Fallow Buck is closed, as I would have seen if I'd checked out Christine Matthews' picture from earlier this year Image But the Rose & Crown, 1km away in the next square east, was still serving the lunchtime London Pride, so all was not lost.

The Fallow Buck
Located on Clay Hill at the junction with Strayfield Road (on the right) and Theobalds Park Road. The building dates to the 17th century and has a number of 19th century modifications. It is Grade II listed.
