Building land at former Briars Hotel, 100 Habberley Road, Kidderminster
The Briars Hotel is currently closed (November 2008) and boarded up. It may re-open as a public house. Meanwhile part of the car parking area, which is shown in this view, has been given permission for residential development. This was no doubt an excellent idea before the property market and the financial industry started crashing. But it could now be a very long time before anyone is prepared to start building here and even longer to find buyers. See also Image

The former Briars Hotel, 100 Habberley Road, Kidderminster
The Briars Hotel closed in 2008. The main building is Victorian and it seems it was a pub for at least 50 years, later adding accommodation facilities and a restaurant. The flat roofed annexe on the left included the Tub-tim-siam Restaurant & Take Away. That has also closed. There is some hope that the Briars Hotel may re-open as a public house. The former Briars Hotel, 100 Habberley Road, Kidderminster
This public house, hotel & restaurant suddenly closed in 2008 and is now boarded up. It appears it may re-open as a down-sized pub, which would be good news for people in this part of Kidderminster as they have also recently lost the Eagles Nest in Coningsby Drive. The Briars Hotel does possess a lot of parking space and it seems permission has been given for some of this to be redeveloped for housing.
