This public house, hotel & restaurant suddenly closed in 2008 and is now boarded up. It appears it may re-open as a down-sized pub, which would be good news for people in this part of Kidderminster as they have also recently lost the Eagles Nest in Coningsby Drive. The Briars Hotel does possess a lot of parking space and it seems permission has been given for some of this to be redeveloped for housing.
