Rough grazing at Bridge End
The enclosure is at Bridge End, south of Frosterley Bridge. Frosterley's primary school is in view - the pale roof right of centre in the image. Buildings in Frosterley itself can be seen in the distance beyond the school building; the church is prominent.

Grassed-over quarry north-west of Miln House Farm
One of the many disused quarries through the stretch of Weardale between Stanhope and Frosterley. The view is to the north from a minor road serving the small settlement of White Kirkley.

Almost natural
This steep sided valley with a small burn running through it could be mistaken for a natural feature, but it is actually the site of one of the Bishopley Crag limestone quarries that are shown on the OS map of 1898, complete with a tramway up to the quarry face.
